Sited on a seaview
terrace, deep in the charming atmosphere of Gallipoli, among the ancient
alleys of the old town, so rich in history, heritage and flavours, Buena
Vista Cafè Lounge found its natural location. During the years, Buena
Vista became a must for the citizens of this precious village. And not
only for them. Enchanted by the wonders of the tipical salento baroque art
and delighted by its exclusive atmosphere, tourists as well have chosen
the Cafè Lounge as their meeting point and as the ideal place to taste
local food and relax, lulled by the sound of the sea and caressed by the
wind.
Opening the 1st of July 2005, Buena Vista Cafè Lounge binds the genuine
flavours of traditional cuisine and the local unique hospitality together
in a stylish background of wooden structures, soft drapes, scented candles,
olive trees and cactuses. Taste Buena Vista's exclusive sundowner:
delicious cocktails - among which a special mention deserves the excellent
mojito - served with a wide selection of local products such as cakes and
"frise" - a simple baked slide of bread - with fresh tomatoes.
Tradition meets innovation. Following the trend in Milan, a wide buffet
selection - including cold meals, rice salads, baked potatoes and
aubergines alla parmigiana - is available during the happy hour. Drinks
and food can be also tasted in the private room - an elegant seaview room,
finely furnished with wicker couches and comfortable coloured deckchairs.
Buena Vista Cafè Lounge this year features a new exclusive restaurant,
near the relax area, where it's possible to taste chef Paolino D'Elia's
delicious sea food.
After employing his coocking mastery aboard luxury ships and in the
prestigious hotel "Costa Brada" in Gallipoli, D'Elia arrived at Buena
Vista, where he cooks and decorates his outstanding meals. Tagliolini with
rocket and shrimps, linguine with lobster soup, spaghetti with mussels,
grilled and fried fish can be tasted amongs his dishes.
Buena Vista offers a wide choice of wines, to exalt the taste of its
dishes in a blend of scents and flavours typical of Mediterranean cuisine.
House, new age and chill-out music selected by Dj Savi will be the
soundtrack of your moments at the Buena Vista. Dj Savi studied at Mogol's
CET school and is known for his gigs at the "Tocqueville" in Milan. He is
now Buena Vista's art director. Besides Dj Savi, other famous Djs like
Maurizio Macrì and Paolo Mele will work to make your summer in Gallipoli
unique and unforgettable.
